Join us on an epic journey to Islay. Experience the island’s signature smoky whisky, and watch traditional live music at the annual Islay Whisky Festival – Fèis Ìle. Islay is the Queen of the Hebrides, and whisky is just one jewel in her crown. Explore the Mull of Oa peninsula, the Three Distilleries Path and the island’s bonnie beaches. Discover historic sites, learn about island life, and sample the finest single malt straight from the source. Travel through the scenic west coast of Scotland, stopping at Loch Lomond, Oban, and Glencoe. This tour will capture all of your senses.

We depart Edinburgh at 9.00am and travel to the picturesque village of Luss on Loch Lomond. We continue west, stopping at the Rest and Be Thankful viewpoint for photos, and then lunch in beautiful Inveraray on Loch Fyne. The afternoon is spent visiting the ancient Dunadd Fort, before boarding the fe....

The afternoon is spent visiting the ancient Dunadd Fort, before boarding the ferry to Islay and settling in Port Ellen for the night.

After breakfast, we begin the day with a walk on the beach and a visit to the historic Kildalton Cross. Have lunch and a dram at Ardbeg Distillery and continue on the Three Distilleries Path to Lagavulin and Laphroaig. Your efforts will be rewarded with sea views and more whisky! We finish the day b....
After breakfast, we begin the day with a walk on the beach and a visit to the historic Kildalton Cross. Have lunch and a dram at Ardbeg Distillery and continue on the Three Distilleries Path to Lagavulin and Laphroaig. Your efforts will be rewarded with sea views and more whisky! We finish the day back in Port Ellen, where we get in amongst the local whisky festival celebrations. (B)

Spend the morning roaming around the rugged Mull of Oa peninsula. Visit the American Monument from WWI and keep an eye out for wildlife in the RSPB Nature Reserve. Explore Bowmore Distillery before free time for lunch and shopping. Our next stop is Port Charlotte to visit the Islay Life Museum, and ....
Spend the morning roaming around the rugged Mull of Oa peninsula. Visit the American Monument from WWI and keep an eye out for wildlife in the RSPB Nature Reserve. Explore Bowmore Distillery before free time for lunch and shopping. Our next stop is Port Charlotte to visit the Islay Life Museum, and Bruichladdich Distillery for whisky – and gin! Afterwards, walk along the white sands of Machir Bay, before our last distillery visit at Kilchoman. We return to the hotel and go to dinner in a local restaurant. (B)

After boarding the ferry back to the mainland, we continue our adventure along the stunning west coast to the busy port town of Oban for lunch. Afterwards, we journey towards Glencoe; one of Scotland’s atmospheric and awesome landscapes! Soak up the last of the beautiful scenery as we drive south, with a last stop at The Kelpies; two epic steel structures, and the largest equine landmark in the world. We arrive back into Edinburgh at around 7.30pm. (B)
