We leave the capital and head west to Luss, a pretty village in Loch Lomond within the Trossachs National Park. Our next stop is the ‘Rest and Be Thankful’ beauty spot with jaw-dropping views of the old valley road of Glen Croe. Try freshly cooked local food during our lunch stop in Inveraray, a traditional county town on the banks of Loch Fyne. We board the ferry across the Atlantic to the Isle of Islay, our cosy home for the next few nights. (Overnight: Port Ellen)

We make a visit to Bowmore, the oldest running whisky distillery on Islay, with free tim....
Let’s talk adventure! Today we explore Islay’s wild and rugged peninsula that is Mull of Oa. We make a visit to Bowmore, the oldest running whisky distillery on Islay, with free time for lunch and shopping. After learning about island life at the Islay Life Museum we head for a whisky tour and more drams at Bruichladdich distillery – a toast to that! On the way home we stretch our legs along Machir Bay, a beach straight out of a fairy tale, with a final stop at the farm distillery Kilchoman. (Overnight Port Ellen)

We cross the sea back to the mainland and drive along Scotland’s beautiful west coast to the seaside town of Oban - a perfect stop to try some local seafood for lunch! Meet misty Glen Coe; one of the most staggering glens in the Scottish Highlands. Soak up in the last of the scenery on our drive south, with a final stop at the gigantic Kelpies, the world’s largest horse sculptures. We arrive back in Edinburgh at approximately 8.00pm.
