Tour departs at 08.45, please check in at 08.30.
Charging a castle is crazy. But it’s even more insane when you’re wearing a kilt and wielding a 1.5 metre sword.
On this trip we visit the region of Stirling anywhere more of this mad violence happened than anywhere else.
It’s where kings were murdered and rebellions started. But it’s not only history you’ll experience on this trip.
You also get to relax by the peaceful shores of Scotland’s beautiful Loch Lomond, an inspiration to poets and painters. So by the end of the day you’re guaranteed to know that Scotland is both insane and stunning.

Our drive north towards Loch Lomond allows us time to explore the wee village of Balmaha and views of Ben Lomond. We explore Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park stopping at the quaint Highland village of Aberfoyle where Sir Walter Scott often frequented. You have free time to explore all the wee nooks and crannies of this village and track down the best local pub.
The afternoon is spent exploring Stirling. The Castle and the region were central to William Wallace’s fight in the Wars of Independence where many a bloody siege took place. The tour of the castle will give you the full story.
If you’re not into history then take time out in Stirling Town. There are plenty of shops, cafes and pubs to while away your afternoon before arriving back in Edinburgh around 17.30.
