We have a range of distillery tours available for bespoke groups. Tell us which distilleries you want to visit and we’ll arrange it! We can also combine whisky tours with other popular Highland destinations, such as Braemar, Balmoral, Loch Ness, Isle of Skye or Oban and the west coast.
A popular option is a whisky tasting day tour from Edinburgh at Scotland’s oldest distillery (Glenturret and The Famous Grouse Experience). Spend the day exploring scenic Perthshire and visit Scotland’s oldest distillery before returning to Edinburgh via historic Stirling.
We can arrange a selection of tour options. You can take a standard Distillery Tour or perhaps something a bit more special.
The Malt Challenge
This works well for groups, as we seek to open your mind on the aromas to be found in whiskies if you smell a little harder! We use a selection of nosing pots, and run a nosing challenge to see how good your noses are!
Warehouse 9
This is usually combined with a distillery tour. It lasts about 90 mins and includes all 6 tastes from 10 year old to the 30 year old! A true sensory experience, defiantly for connoisseurs.
Whisky School
This involves a class of no more than 12 getting real experience from an expert. The Distillery manager at Glenturret will show you what makes ‘the water of life’ so special. From choosing barley, through distillation to picking the perfect cask, you will experience the whisky’s journey all the way to the tasting glass.
In the unique surroundings of our Malt Warehouse, amidst casks of maturing whisky, you’ll be sampling the full Famous Grouse Malt range. This is followed by a school dinner you’ll really enjoy – 3 sumptuous courses, each matched with the perfect whisky. A unique experience!
