Day 1: Edinburgh – Fort William

We leave Scotland's capital and through Perthshire, land of rivers and forests to Dunkeld on the banks of the River Tay and stunning cathedral. We head further north into the lochs and mountains of the Scottish Highlands arriving in Fort William early afternoon. We get straight to it with our mountain guide and take on Britain's highest mountain, the mighty Ben Nevis. The evening is spent in Fort William with a few drams to help ease those weary legs.

Day 2: Fort William to Lake District

There is some stunning scenery today as we leave the Highlands and head to the Lake District. We depart Fort William and head south through dramatic Glencoe, the ‘Weeping Glen' and site of the massacre of 1692. We pass picturesque Loch Lomond and cross the border into England. Our overnight destination is in the Lake District where we prepare for our next challenge.

Day 3: Lake District

With our Mountain Guide we head off to the base of our second mountain, Scafell Pike. It's our second major challenge, the highest in England. Once conquered we transfer back to our overnight for a well-earned rest and perhaps a celebratory ale or two.

Day 4: Lake District to North Wales

We head to Chester, originally a Roman fort then cross another border and into Wales. Before we head to the stunning scenery of Snowdonia National Park there's the opportunity to exercise your brain by pronouncing our stop at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. Tonight is spent in North Wales overlooking the stunning Welsh coastline.

Day 5: North Wales

The final challenge awaits, the highest mountain in Wales. The day is spent climbing Snowdon and finally completing the 3 Peaks of the British isles! Your head will be clear, your muscles sore but your spirits at completing the feat will be on a high! Our overnight accommodation is a beautiful farmhouse with the option to have a proper feed on a barbeque to celebrate completing our final climb.

Day 6: North Wales to Manchester / Edinburgh

Having completed our challenge, we return to Edinburgh via Manchester where we can provide an optional drop-off for those who want a quicker return to London. Tired perhaps but with great new friends, a sense of achievement and an amazing story to tell the grandkids!
