Day 1: London to Brecon Beacons

We head for the valleys and mountains of Wales crossing the mighty Severn Bridge. We have a quick stop at Chepstow Castle in the marchlands of Britain, before driving on to the romantic ruins of Tintern Abbey. Our journey takes us west to Cardiff, the capital of Wales then onto the Brecon Beacons for a hike. Our night is in Abergavenny, where you can have a pint and a chat with the locals

Day 2: Brecon Beacons & Welsh Valleys

Our first stop, Hay-on-Wye on the Welsh border, is a quaint village famous for its large number of bookstores. From there, we will follow in the footsteps of the Great Welsh Leader, Llewellyn, to his final resting place near Builth Wells. Our trip takes us north, into the majestic Elan Valley. Here we pop into the visitor's centre to learn about the history of the area and its dam. Heading up into the mountains of mid Wales, we stop at Devil's Bridge where you can descend and admire the raging Mynach waterfalls.

Day 3: Brecon Beacons to London

We set out to Blaenafon and the Big Pit, one of Britain's best mining museums where you will learn about the harsh working conditions of the miners and have the opportunity to descend 300 feet to experience it yourself. We then follow the border between Wales and England to Caerleon with its Roman amphitheatre and fortress before our return to London.
