Day 1:
Casting off the shackles, we'll escape the city, jingling all the way to Wales. Crossing the mighty Severn River we'll pull up in Chepstow and drink in that fine crystal air and panoramic views. Onwards we will go, to Tintern Abbey which so inspired Wordsworth, followed by Caerphilly for lunch and some last minute chrimbo shopping. You'll be taken into the Brecon Beacons, with its awe inspiring views and if you've been a good boy or girl - snow! Then it's Abergavenny for the night, to eat, drink and sing!
Day 2:
Bleary eyed we'll head to Hay on Wye, the town of books, a great place for stocking fillers. Then we'll plot our course North, heading over the mountains and far away, with plenty of stops for photos. At Castell-Y-Bere, we'll recount Llewellyn the Last, then continue North, perhaps by coast, for those of you used to the beach at this time of year. The Driving will end at the farmhouse, with night not yet begun. After dinner, there will be an option to head for a near by pub and drink with the locals, and a last chance to repent to ensure you receive presents the next day.
Day 3:
After checking Sion Corn hasn't already been, a cooked breakfast. Then our guide will drive you into the Snowdonia national park for a lovely walk and maybe a snowball fight. After enjoying a (probably) chilly pack lunch in a (definitely) outstanding location, we will wind our way back to the farmhouse, to put on our best glad rags for dinner. What a dinner indeed, Turkey and all the trimmings and of course Christmas pudding, and as long as you eat all your sprouts, Sion Corn might arrive and hand out pressies!! Then the evening's frivolity ensues!
Day 4:
After a much needed lie in, another fantastic breakfast. With full stomachs and heavy hearts, we'll leave the farmhouse and head South, stopping at Llangollen for lunch and a much needed walk. Then it's on to Stratford, where you can visit the birth place of William Shakespeare, or make a start on the Christmas Sales. Finally, we arrive back in London, spiritually uplifted and ready for the New Year.
