Castle - 5 Day Special Tour from Edinburgh
A real Christmas cracker, ideal if you have wee bit more time to really see the magnificent Highlands covered in a blanket of snow. Over 5 fun filled days, you will take in some of the most dramatic and spectacular scenery in Europe, as well as having the time of your life meeting some really great people and our legendary HAGGiS crew. 
Our extended Christmas tour leaves Edinburgh on Tuesday December 23rd and includes fantastic overnights in the Highlands, between Glencoe and Fort William, and legendary Loch Ness. The highlight of the trip is a night in a haunted Highland castle for the best christmas party ever! Returning to Edinburgh on Saturday 27th December.

Day 1: Rob Roy Country
December 23rd
It’s time for the Christmas adventure of a lifetime as we leave Edinburgh and head north! We visit the Wallace Monument and hear tales of Scotland's heros, Wallace and Bruce. We pass through the stunning Trossachs and Rob Roy country and meet Hamish the hairy Highland Coo. We then cross the wilds of Rannoch Moor and into mighty Glencoe. Scene of the infamous Massacre and one of the most haunting places in Scotland. We then spend the night near Onich, between Glencoe and Fort William.

Day 2: Great Glen
December 24th
After brekkie its time to explore stunning Glen Nevis (used a location for both Braveheart and Harry Potter). Geln Nevis sits in the shadow of mighty Ben Nevis (the Uk's highest mountain). We then head along the road to the Isles to the Glenfinnan memorial to Bonne Prince Charlie at the head of Loch Shiel. (this is also the where the spectacular railway viaduct used in Harry Potter films is.) We then head through the Great Glen, en-route for Loch Ness and our overnight accommoation in Fort Augustus.
Day 3: Christmas Day
Christmas Day
Christmas Day will never be the same again. After opening presents and a quick breakfast, we’ll depart for a trip to the magical Isle of Skye. We will also take in the amazing Eilean Donan castle surrouned by snow capped peaks. Unlimited fresh air! No more hangover! Snow-capped mountains, ruined castles, hairy coos and majestic scenery – The Highlands have it all. A few snow ball fights and snowman building attempts (weather permitting) will set you up for the slap-up Christmas feast and party awaiting our return to Loch Ness.
Day 4: Loch Ness To Carbisdale Castle
26th December
Shake off any late night excess amongst the awesome scenery as we explore Loch Ness. We visit haunting Culloden near Inverness and then head for Carbisdale Castle! Towering over the salmon filled River Shin, its an amazing place, complete with its own statue gallery, art collection and ghost, this will be a night to remember. After a tasty dinner, the night will be spent partying with a live band into the wee small hours.
Day 5: Discover The Cairngorms & Perthshire
27th December
Leaving the splendour of the Castle behind we travel south taking in the stunning natural beauty of the Cairngorms National Park. We take in the imposing ruins of Ruthven Barracks and hear tales of the Jacobites. We then enter Highland Perthshire, a land of rivers trees and mountains. Our jouney is complete with views of the legendary Forth Bridge as we return to Edinburgh in the early evening.
