Day 2: Edinburgh to Loch Ness
Leaving the city we head to the Highlands, over the Forth Bridge and on through the forests and rivers of Perthshire and the Cairngorms National Park. Our journey takes us to haunting Culloden Battlefield where Bonnie Prince Charlie's Jacobites were defeated in the bloody massacre of 1746. Then it's time for monster spotting as we head over to mighty Loch Ness, passing the historic Urquhart Castle and a chance to see Nessie.
Day 3: Isle of Skye
Today is the majestic Isle of Skye with its awesome mountainous scenery and stunning coastlines. Immersed in Celtic myths and legends, you'll hear about ancient clan feuds, Viking raids, mischievous faeries and even learn the secret of eternal youth.
Day 4: Loch Ness to Edinburgh
We head south past mighty Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain and the film location for 'Braveheart' and 'Harry Potter'. Travelling through dramatic and inspiring Glencoe, scene of the bloody massacre of 1692, we journey over the wilds of Rannoch Moor, through the Trossachs before taking in views of dramatic Stirling Castle hearing tales of Scotland's most famous national hero, William Wallace. Back in Edinburgh there is the option to explore Edinburgh's creepy underground vaults on a ghost tour of the medieval Old Town.
